Join us in honouring the memories of those we hold dear with our Remembrance Tree Appeal.
This Christmas season, as we gather with loved ones, the absence of those we hold dear can feel especially poignant. At Waipuna Hospice, we understand that remembrance can bring solace during this difficult time. In partnership with Hospice New Zealand and Farmers, we invite you to participate in our Remembrance Tree Appeal—a heartfelt opportunity to honour and remember those you miss.
From mid-November, our beautiful remembrance trees will grace Farmers stores and community locations, offering a space to leave a personal message in memory of your loved ones. Each message represents a cherished connection and, with your donation, directly supports Waipuna Hospice in providing compassionate care to individuals facing life-limiting illnesses in our community. The act of remembering not only provides comfort during the festive season but also helps us raise essential funds for our vital work.
Join us in creating a legacy of love this Christmas. Whether you’re near or far, you can find solace in leaving a loving message or purchasing a Christmas bauble for $15.99 at local Farmer’s stores. Remember, 100% of donations and bauble purchases made in Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty remain in the region to benefit Waipuna Hospice and our patients.
If you won’t be able to make it into a Farmers store, or visit or collection sites, you can still support Waipuna Hospice by donating online.
Make a Difference by Volunteering
Could you spare just two hours to help collect donations and support others in their acts of remembrance? As a volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in helping individuals write messages for their loved ones, fostering connections, and bringing comfort during this reflective time. We have collection sites across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty from mid-November to mid-December. Your friendly presence can make a world of difference, and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life—whether you’re an individual, part of a team, or involved in a local club.
If you’re looking to take on a leadership role, we also need Volunteer Site Coordinators! This rewarding position allows you to manage volunteers, coordinate site logistics, and engage with the community while supporting Waipuna Hospice’s mission.
Bring along a friend or family member to share in this meaningful experience. Together we can create a warm and supportive environment for those remembering loved ones this Christmas. To get involved, please fill in the form below, or contact Jamie-Leigh at fundraising@waipunahospice.org.nz or call 07 552 4380 ext. 315. Your kindness can help transform lives this holiday season.
