Wills Month 2025

Leave a legacy of care

This September, we’re making it easier than ever for you to leave a lasting legacy of care for your community. We’re partnering with trusted local legal firms and have provided an online Will writing service to write or update a basic Will. As part of Wills Month, participating firms are generously waiving their usual Will-writing fees in support of Waipuna Hospice. In return, it’s asked that you leave just 1% of your estate as a gift in your Will to help provide compassionate, specialist care for future patients and their families.

Why leave a gift in your Will?

Keep 99%. Give 1%.

You keep 99% to take care of your loved ones. But the final 1%? That’s the part that can comfort someone’s family, support a patient’s final moments, and ensure hospice care is there for the next person in need.

By including Waipuna Hospice in your Will, you’re ensuring that your compassion carries on and takes care of patients in the future who suffer from life-limiting illnesses.

It’s not about giving more.
It’s about giving meaning.

Together, we can ensure that hospice care continues for generations to come.

How it works

Registrations for in-person meetings with local lawyers have now closed; however, you can still create a free basic Will online [here.] (Please note your online Will won’t be checked by a solicitor, so make sure all your details are correct and that your Will is witnessed and signed correctly.)

Please note that this offer is for basic Wills and updates only. If your needs are more complex, please reach out to a local legal firm, which may charge additional fees.
