Volunteer this Christmas

Every Christmas, our Remembrance Trees give people across our community a place to pause and remember the loved ones. Our volunteers help make that possible.
By giving just two hours of your time, you’ll help people write messages for their loved ones, collect donations, and offer a friendly face during what can be a tender time of year. Every dollar raised helps ensure compassionate hospice care remains available for patients and whānau when they need it most.
Our trees are in supermarkets and malls across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty from 4 December – 20 December. Whether you sign up with a friend, your workplace, your club, or on your own, every shift makes a difference. To sign up, click the “Volunteer” button below, choose a time and location that suits you, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Thank you for being part of the circle of compassion in our community.
Farmers Christmas Appeal

This year’s limited-edition Christmas bauble arrives at Farmers stores on 12 November, priced at $15.99. It features a Fern & Stars design, with the fern celebrating our unique New Zealand identity and the stars reflecting our summer night skies at Christmas. It makes a lovely gift, or a special addition to your own tree.
You can also visit Farmers to remember someone you love by making a donation at the counter and hanging a message on our Tree of Remembrance.
Every dollar from in-store bauble sales and Tree of Remembrance donations in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty stays local, supporting Waipuna Hospice and the people we care for.
Can’t make it in? You can still support Waipuna Hospice by donating online today.
